Description
Here is a small kitchen knife hand forged from high carbon steel (80CrV2). The blade has a concave bevel which makes is cut fantastically well. The blade has a distal taper so the balance point ends up where your index finger would be in a pinch grip.
The handle is made from walnut, a fish paper spacer and birch burl.
Since this is a high carbon steel blade it will rust if exposed to moisture. Do not let the knife lay damp and mos certainly do not run it in the dishwasher. I recommend just carefully rinsing the blade under the tap and then wiping it dry. The steel will also most likely develop a beautiful patina as you use it.
